The chamois of National Park of Abruzzo  (Rupicapra pyrenaica ornata) is a different species from Alpine chamois. The difference consists in the colour of the coat,  in the phisical structure and in the manner. In the Alpine chamois (Rupicapra rupicapra rupicapra) the winter coat is more dark. In the summary coat the Abruzzi chamois it’s more red,.
The exstraordinary design of the coat, its splendids horus, the agility and the elegance of its movements have defined -rigthly- the Abruzzi chamois as “the most beatiful chamois of the world”.
